I first trained in airbrush make-up over 15 years ago. It’s a method of applying the foundation base, blush, contour and highlighter through an air gun which expels a very fine mist of product onto the face creating the most amazing finish to the skin. It produces a finish on the skin which is so flawless and natural without even looking like you are wearing make-up! Once dried, it becomes almost waterproof which makes it such a great option for bridal make-up, no streaky makeup with tears or the dreaded makeup marks on white shirts and the durability is second to none. It gives a real luxury feel to the makeup and the service. 
My brides have always loved their airbrush make-up, with many comments of how 'light weight' it feels. The ingredients within the airbrush foundation do not clog pores, allowing your skin to breathe. 
The airbrush system is a big investment for any professional makeup artist's kit and tends to be used a lot in the TV and film industry as it's HD ready so looks incredible on camera.
