FAQs

How do I book?

Please complete the enquiry form on my website. Please provide as much information about your wedding/ event. The date of your event, the venue (wedding venue), where you will be getting ready (before your wedding ceremony), time of event, number of makeups required.

On receipt of this enquiry form I will let you know my availability and provide you with a quotation for my services.

If you would like to proceed with booking me for your event, please click the ’accept quotation’ button. To confirm the booking and hold it as an official date in my diary, I require the booking deposit to be paid within 1 day of accepting the quotation. The booking is not confirmed until this payment has been received. 

How do I pay?

Payments can be made via my online booking system which has a ‘pay now’ button. This links you to my secure Stripe payment server that manages my online payments. Alternatively, you can arrange for a BACs transfer to my bank online. For BACs payments, my tranfer details are: Mrs E Ludlow 09-01-29 26416737

Do I need a trial before my wedding day?

Makeup trials are a fundamental component of your bridal makeup journey with me.  It’s an opportunity for us to get to know each other before your big day. During a trial, I ask lots of questions! It’s how I build a picture of your bridal makeup vision. I like to get to you know you, your makeup likes and dislikes and your style. I learn about your skin, its type and how it responds to products. It’s a great opportunity for you to road test the makeup and see how the products wear. We build a vision together and work together all the way. I know I never would have walked down the aisle only trying on my wedding dress for the first time on my wedding morning. I feel it’s the same for wedding makeup.

If you live outside of the UK and only travelling back to the UK at the time of your wedding, we can always arrange a phone call or zoom call and meet in this way as an alternative. Please contact me if this is the case to discuss it further.

When is the best time to book?

I open my diary to bookings at around 18-24 months in advance.  I always encourage brides and clients to be as organised as possible, so if you know your wedding date and have booked your venue, start booking your suppliers for sure! I’d hate to not be available for you as I only book one wedding per day which enables me to be exclusively available for you and not dashing off to another booking. 

Do you offer ‘after ceremony’ makeup services?

If you would like me to be available for makeup touch ups after your ceremony or if you are planning on changing your makeup look for the evening celebrations, please contact me to discuss this further, I would be happy to provide a quotation for you. 

How long does each makeup service take?

Timing very much depends on the desired makeup look. For full glam makeup including lashes, I allow up to 1.5 hours for this service. For more of a minimalistic makeup look I would allow between 30-45 minutes. For a wedding morning, I allow up to 75 minutes for a brides look and 45-60 minutes for bridesmaids/mother of the bride/ mother of the groom. 

How much are additional makeup services, adding to pre-set packages, Rose, Willow and Daisy?

Any additional makeup services to be added to the pre-set priced packages are charged at £80 per person. 

How many people do you cater for on a wedding morning?

Should you have a bigger bridal party than five people, requiring more than five makeup services, you will be required to find an additional makeup artist for the additional makeup services. From my experience of many wedding mornings, and due to time constraints, to ensure the high quality of service that I provide, I limit my services to a maximum of five people. If you have any questions about this, please don’t hesitate to ask me.

Do you offer makeup for flower girls on the morning of the wedding?

Up to the age of 11, I’m very happy to offer a complementary touch of blusher and lip gloss for flower girls in the bridal party. Please ask about this at the time of booking as I will need to factor this in to the timing schedule. 

Do you offer your makeup services outside of the UK?

If you are getting married outside of the UK and would like to enquire about my makeup services for a destination abroad, please complete an enquiry form with all the relevant information and I will be in contact to provide a quotation.
